Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Not ejecting almost guarantees a corrupt file system. Middleware MTP?
The data partition is formated as fat32, which is non-resilient to this stuff. This partition should use a modern filesystem with journaling, like ext4.
Using ext4 wouldn't allow auto mount on Windows when connected via USB. To cater for that we would indeed have to add a middleware like MTP.
